The Elusive Lirpa Loof Bird, Geometry and Ryan

Important Reminders
Please return the orange folder and unsold calendars on Monday
Today we went on the hunt for the elusive Lirpaloof Bird.  We did not have any success finding the bird even though we tried to use carrots to lure him out of hiding!  Maybe next year!
I made a video of Ryan's visit to St. Cecilia.  We are still talking about his visit and he will always be welcomed at our school.  You can continue to donate too! (I donated money through Crowdsource and they tripled my donation!).

Here are some pictures from our 3D geometry unit.  Have a great weekend everyone:)
Lucas made a cube skeleton out of clay and toothpicks.

Azariah drew 2D shapes,

He also drew 3D figures.

We looked at the curriculum expectations and we have to learn all this! Phew!

Elly App Smash and The Elusive Lirpa Loof Bird

Displaying IMG_7721.JPG
Today we read a story about the elusive (fancy word for hard to find!) lirpa loof bird.  Later, after reading the story and discovering what it looked like, we all went out to hunt for this rare bird.  We brought some carrots to lure the bird because that is one of their favourite things to eat. We even tried singing to the bird but that did not seem to work either! Unfortunately, we were not successful and did not find any traces of the bird around St. Cecilia.  It was a beautiful day so we did not waste out time searching for the lirpa loof.  But maybe there was a reason why we could not find this bird.  See if you can figure it out!
Elly allowed me to do some stuff today...she was a good sport!
