What We've Been Up To in 3C & Homework

In Math, we continue to explore patterns and have begun to look at growing and shrinking patterns.

In Science, we had so much fun exploring magnetic force!  Magnets can both push and pull.  We even did an experiment with a paper clip and a magnet that defied gravity.  We used a fantastic science site called Mystery Science to help guide some of our explorations. Ask your child what items in our class were magnetic and what ones weren't?  Some coins were pulled to the magnets and others were not. What metals are attracted to magnets? Take a peek at some of the fun we had this week with weird magnets:) 

Magnets and Luv 2 Groove

We learned that magnets repel and attract each other. Like poles repel (push) and different poles attract (pull). Yesterday, we went on a magnet scavenger hunt to see which objects in our classroom are magnetic and which objects are not magnetic.  We used the PicCollage app to show our learning and posted it to our Seesaw accounts.  Students also airdropped to me!

We are very lucky to have Luv 2 Groove in to our school to share the love of dance and expression. It was so wonderful to see all the students engaged and sweaty after the class.  We will take part in three workshops this week!
