Fall has arrived...

Hard to believe it!  Fall is officially here...but it sure is HOT outside:)  Today we read the story 'How To Lose All Your Friends' (examples: whining, tattling, not sharing).  Afterwards, we brainstormed ways to be a good friend.  Using the imovie app for the first time, groups had to create an imovie trailer about being a good friend.  They had to work cooperatively to come up with a title, ideas and sharing the workload.  Tomorrow we will try and finish them. Hopefully, we will be able to post them on the blog later in the week.  

In math, we continued to work on showing different ways to represent a number.  Yesterday, St. Cecilia received too many pizzas so a parent decided to send all of the extras to St. Rose of Lima in Bayshore.  One of the classes at St. Rose of Lima, solved a problem about the pizza.  We tried to answer the same question.  We came up with 3 different strategies (repeated addition, multiplication and pictures). We will try and answer part two of the problem tomorrow.  Enjoy the remaining warm days!
