Homework

Homework is going home today.  It will go home on Mondays and needs to be returned to school on Thursdays.

Please note, that homework is optional.
Once completed, you and your child will need to look through it carefully.  He or she can even "check mark" with a coloured pencil.  We always encourage students to double check work before handing it in, so extra practise with this skill is part of the homework.

Things to check for:
- capital letters at the beginning of sentences, names, and "I"
- periods at the end of each sentence (not individual words)
- legibility...can your teacher read it?
- spacing...you only have one page to complete the work so space your work accordingly.  The lines are small, so letters may need to be skinny, not wide, to fit them all in
- super sentences...The dog slept.  (not super)  The furry brown dog slept by the front door.  (super!)
- have the instructions been followed?

All Homework Folders MUST be returned, even if they are not completed, so that your child can pick out a sticker and receive the next week's homework page.
Homework was sent home today.  Please follow the examples that your child has done the previous weeks.
I will also be sending home all of their passwords tomorrow. You will find it on the front pocket of their agenda.
Thanks again for your support!
