All About Sophia, Those Shoes and Procedural Writing

The other day we read a wonderful book called 'Those Shoes' and talked about wants vs. needs.  Many of us came to the conclusion that needing winter boots was a 'need' and getting an ipad was a 'want'.  Here is the book in video form:)

In writing, we have begun our Procedural Writing unit.  Ms. Ng and Mrs. Addison modeled how to write a recount about getting ready for recess.  Students co-created the anchor chart and the teachers wrote the piece of writing.  It was pretty good!
